Typically we resolve to not do one thing as a result of it seems like there’s not sufficient time to do the duty — it is going to take me 2 hours to work on that activity, and I solely have 20 minutes, so why hassle beginning?
We do this type of factor greater than we notice — there’s not sufficient time to complete this, so why begin? I don’t know if I’ll ever end it, so why hassle?
This sense of pointlessness is considered one of our greatest obstacles.
It feels pointless, so why strive? Why even begin?
This equates the worth of attempting with the result of the exercise. On this considering, it’s solely worthwhile if we end, if we succeed. This diminishes our efforts, as a result of it means attempting is just value it if we get the result we wish.
What if there’s worth in attempting, it doesn’t matter what the result?
